In this article we will explain how to manage proxies in Eligo.
First, before dealing with proxies, the complete and final list of voters must be loaded. In Eligo, in fact, proxies can ONLY be associated between voters present within a given election event.
You will find the proxy management menu in the top left bar.
A screen will open with the available options. Select the "Proxies Management" button to the right of the referenced election event:
Proxies can be massively uploaded by an Excel file or individually by manual entry.
How to assign proxies manually:
To assign proxies individually, you must choose the "Assign Manually" option instead.
This will open the list of voters from which to search for the DELEGATE (who received the proxy):
Click on the symbol corresponding to the voter to whom you want to assign the proxy.
Another screen will open:
On the left, you can search for and select the proxy giver(s). As proxies are assigned, you will be able to see them in the " Proxies present" screen on the right:
Close to confirm and repeat the same process for the other proxies in the event, which will appear to be regularly assigned:
How to assign proxies via Excel File:
Once you select the "Assign via Excel file" option, you can download the Excel Template to be filled in with the necessary data to assign proxies:
Fill the file ONLY with the data you need, without adding or changing column headings:
A delegate can also receive multiple proxies. In this case, it is enough to report his data multiple times in the appropriate column and the delegator's data next to it.
After completing the file, save and upload to Eligo, according to directions:
Once the file is uploaded, the system will indicate the number of delegates and proxies present at that event:
It will be possible to make changes to the proxy list until credentials are sent. After this, in fact, it will no longer be possible to edit, delete, or add new proxies. Therefore, it is critical to submit credentials after making sure that you have entered all final proxies.
Upon logging in, the delegate will see a popup with information about the proxy(s):
N.B.: THE PROXY IS JOINT: the delegate will cast only one vote, which will also be counted for all the delegates.
