How to Clone an Electoral Event

In this article is explained how to duplicate an Electoral Event.

On the Eligo voting platform, you can clone an electoral event. Specifically, there is a button that allows you to recreate the same event with the same name and configurations automatically, without having to create it from scratch.
This tool can be useful, for example, when votes have to be repeated due to a lack of quorum or if multiple rounds of elections are scheduled.
To clone an electoral event, just click on the icon on the event bar on the right:
 
 
A dialog box will open to set the date and time of the new event:
 
 
Click "Confirm" and you will see the cloned event in the Dashboard, with new date and time but the same configurations and candidates as the previous event.
 
 

Notes:

  • The voter list will not be cloned and will need to be uploaded following the same procedure described in the dedicated article.
  • To clone an event it is not necessary for it to have been closed; the operation can also be performed with an event in preparation or in progress.
