The standard access method represents the classic authentication procedure for online voting. In this setup, the Eligo platform directly sends a personalized email to each voter included in the list of eligible voters. The message contains a dedicated link and specific credentials, consisting of a Username and a temporary Password. To access the voting booth, users must open the indicated address and manually type in the access keys received. It is the ideal choice for associations and organizations that have their members' email addresses and want to maintain a traditional login experience.

2. DAL (Direct Access Link)

The DAL system is designed to simplify the voter experience as much as possible and maximize voting participation. With this option, Eligo sends each eligible voter a personalized email containing a unique access token embedded in a private link. Users only need a single click on the button in the message to access the ballot paper directly, without needing to memorize or copy a username and password.

3. Two-Factor Authentication with SMS OTP

Two-factor authentication introduces an enhanced security measure layered on top of the Standard Access and DAL methods. After completing the first step via credentials or clicking the direct link, the platform sends a single-use temporary code via SMS to the voter's mobile phone number. Users can access and cast their vote only after correctly entering this code on screen. This configuration requires both the email and phone number of the user in the eligible voter list, offering strong identity qualification ideal for consultations requiring maximum formal rigor.

4. SSO (Single Sign-On)

Authentication via Single Sign-On allows users to access the Eligo platform using their existing corporate or university digital identity. In this scenario, Eligo sends no email or credentials: the election administrator simply distributes a static access link that is identical for everyone, publishing it on the Intranet or sending it via internal channels. Even though the link is generic, security is fully preserved. When users click the link, they are redirected to their identity provider and, only after authenticating with their institutional credentials, Eligo checks their presence in the eligible voter list to authorize voting.
